The New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice is collaborating with Evident Change to update the Structured Decision Making® (SDM) Mandatory Reporter Guide (MRG). The MRG supports mandatory reporters in NSW to:

Determine whether a report to the Child Protection Helpline is needed for concerns about possible abuse or neglect of a child or young person; and
-
Identify alternative supports for vulnerable children, young people and their families.
As a mandatory reporter who has knowledge about responses to possible abuse or neglect of children/young people in your community, your input is highly valuable to this process. Even if you have not personally used the MRG we would benefit from understanding your perceptions about the reporting process. The answers you provide in this survey will support the efforts to updated the SDM® MRG and ensure that implementation and evaluation processes are tailored to meet the needs of your agency and community.
The survey should take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

All responses will go directly to Evident Change. Only group trends and results will be shared with DCJ and other agency stakeholders. Responses will be used to improve SDM® implementation, so please answer honestly. You may feel uncomfortable answering some questions; you can skip any you do not wish to answer.
